Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore

Facoltà di Scienze Bancarie, Finanziarie e Assicurative

The Faculty of Banking, Finance and Insurance Sciences is offering its usual training courses in Soft Skills and Digital Skills also this semester.

Short training courses in Soft Skills give students the opportunity to acquire and experiment self-management, leadership, public speaking, team building, team management and problem solving skills.

Short training courses in Digital Skills are designed to strengthen digital skills, which are instrumental in improving abilities to process, evaluate, use and share content using computer technologies.

Under the guidance of experienced professionals, students will be able to acquire behavioural and digital skills that can allow them to concretely apply the technical knowledge acquired during their studies, translating them into high added value performance.

The originality and quality of the offer lies in the fact that these short training courses are:

  • provided by teaching staff from partner institutions and companies, who bring applied skills and practical experiments into the classroom;
  • ‘linked’ to the subjects taught during the Degree Programme.

Students who take part in these courses will be able to significantly increase the quality of their personal performance.

The offer of short training courses in Soft and Digital Skills for the first semester of the academic year 2018-2019 is structured as follows for undergraduate and graduate degrees: (see programme by clicking on each "subject").

In case applications should exceed the maximum number of students allowed, participants with the highest weighted average will be selected for short training courses related to Undergraduate Degree Programmes. For courses related to Graduate Degree Programmes (except for 'Ethics for finance', which is related to the Graduate Degree Programme in "Banking and Finance" and does not have a maximum number of participants), second-year students will be given priority and the remaining applicants will be admitted following their date of application.

Each course is made up of 14 hours of lessons and comprises theoretical teaching as well as experimentation and learning on topics covered in the Degree Programme. After verifying attendance and learning, each student will earn 2 credits for each short training course (as supernumerary course).
Courses will take place between 5 November and 11 December 2018.
The Faculty of Banking, Finance and Insurance Sciences invites its students to seize this opportunity. It can be an enriching experience and may add a significant element of interest to their CVs.

Students who are selected must be able to ensure attendance of the course. Being selected for a course means other students applying for it are excluded. We therefore require students to study the calendar befor applying in order to ensure that they will be able to attend lessons.

To access the calendar, follow this link and fill out all the required fields as you do for all other courses.

Students can enrol between 1 October 2018 and 24 October 2018.

Only students who are regularly registered for the academic year 2018/2019 can enrol in short training courses.
