The Faculty of Law at Università Cattolica endeavours to train professionals who are proficient in analysing, applying and creating the rules of Law in today’s world. Graduates who will carry forward the legacy of the great masters of law. Founded in 1924 - one of the University’s first faculties - it is much esteemed in Italy for its dedication to technical, cultural and personal preparation, for the level of its scientific research (recently ranked amongst the first in Italy in the Evaluation of Quality of Research - VQR 2004-2010), for its first-class teaching and for its ability to distinguish, inspire and value the merit of its students.
The emphasis is on training professional and humanely "all-round" jurists with solid legal competence who are able to face the problems of modern society with a judicial spirit, a capacity for dialogue, relational sensitivity and above all, a sense of justice. These indispensable attributes can evolve, mainly, through international, intercultural and interdisciplinary exchanges together with high-level foreign and native language proficiency.
