Meet Us
The School of Banking, Finance and Insurance offers a range of initiatives designed to help prospective students explore its academic offer and make informed choices about their future studies.
These activities provide an opportunity to experience the School first-hand, understand its distinctive approach, and engage with topics related to banking, finance and insurance before enrolling.
Discover the School
The School is presented through University-wide orientation initiatives, including Open Days, information sessions and orientation meetings, organised on campus, online and across the national territory.
During these events, prospective students can:
- learn about the structure and content of degree programmes
- explore the specific features of the School’s courses
- meet academic staff and student representatives
- receive guidance on study choices and admission procedures
Experience university learning
In addition to general orientation events, the School offers dedicated initiatives that allow students to experience university-level teaching.
These include:
- trial lectures and multidisciplinary sessions designed for high school students
- the “Prova l’Università” (Experience the University) initiative, which allows participants to attend tailored lectures and explore the academic environment
- subject-specific activities aimed at introducing key topics in finance and economics
These initiatives are designed to support the transition from school to university and to help students better understand the content and approach of the degree programmes.
Competitions and school programmes
The School is involved in initiatives that connect academic learning with real-world applications.
One key example is the Gran Premio di Matematica Applicata (Applied Mathematics Grand Prix), a national competition organised in collaboration with the Forum ANIA–Consumatori, with the support of professional bodies and organisations in the financial sector.
The School also contributes to Formazione Scuola Lavoro (FSL) programmes, offering structured learning paths for high school students on topics related to financial markets and intermediaries, including initiatives developed in collaboration with institutional partners such as CONSOB.
Outreach and engagement
The School’s orientation activities are part of a broader University effort to promote a multidisciplinary learning environment.
Initiatives are organised:
- across different campuses
- in collaboration with secondary schools, institutional partners and organisations in the financial sector
- through national events, education fairs and school-based activities
This approach supports students in developing a clearer understanding of available study paths and in making informed decisions about their future.
Online initiatives
The School also contributes to online orientation activities through platforms such as UnicattX, which provide access to virtual events, recorded sessions and interactive content.
These initiatives allow prospective students to:
- explore programmes remotely
- attend presentations and thematic sessions
- gain insights into academic paths and career opportunities
