Research

The School of Banking, Finance and Insurance is committed to advancing high-quality scientific research across a range of disciplines, including Economics, Management and Accounting, Banking and Finance, Statistics and Econometrics, Financial and Actuarial Mathematics, and Business Law.

Research activity within the School combines academic rigour with openness to collaboration and international engagement. Particular attention is given to the dissemination of research outputs and to publication in publication in high-quality scientific journals with an international profile.

The School promotes collaboration among its members and with researchers from different scientific areas, including through participation in research groups and projects supported by the University. It is also actively involved in national and international inter-university consortia.

Recruitment and career development policies are strongly research-oriented, with the aim of attracting and supporting high-potential scholars at an international level. While research plays a central role, it is developed in balance with teaching activities and broader engagement with society.

Research activities are promoted and organised by the Departments to which the School’s professors and researchers primarily belong, in line with the strategic directions set by the Academic Senate and the planning defined by the School Council.

The School’s scientific publications are available through the University’s institutional repository PubliCatt, and can also be accessed via PubliRES, the portal dedicated to scientific publications and academic expertise.

In addition to departmental research, a number of research centres also operate within the School’s academic environment. These centres bring together professors and researchers from different Departments, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration.
