Governance

The School of Banking, Finance and Insurance is led by the Dean, Professor Giovanni Petrella, and governed through its main collegiate academic body, the School Council.

This governance structure supports the School’s academic development and the organisation of its teaching and research activities within the broader institutional and quality assurance framework of Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore.

School Council

The School Council is composed of full professors and associate professors, representatives of university researchers, representatives of adjunct faculty, and student representatives.

Among its main responsibilities, the School Council:

  • approves proposals for the development of the School
  • plans and organises teaching activities
  • defines research objectives and activities, and reviews overall scientific output
  • formulates proposals concerning PhD programmes and contributes to their organisation and functioning

The School operates within the wider institutional and quality assurance framework of Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, which supports the organisation and continuous development of its teaching and research activities.

SBFI - Industry Advisory Board

The School engages with external stakeholders through its SBFI - Industry Advisory Board, which helps strengthen dialogue with companies and supervisory authorities, and supports curriculum development and internship planning.
