In particular, we propose a course of studies focusing mainly on management, with reference to quantitative and regulatory areas and another more oriented towards theoretical elements. The Faculty collaborates with banks, insurance companies and business enterprises as well as with national and international supervisory authorities in order to offer its students up-to-date study programmes. We offer a broad and prospective view on the evolution of economic and financial phenomena also by inviting guest speakers, adjunct and visiting professors and organising practical activities. "Our aim is to create and disseminate knowledge and skills in the fields of banking, finance and insurance sciences through excellence in teaching, research and cultural debate at national and international level. This translates into training professionals possessing the skills required by the market with the multidisciplinary approach that has always characterized our Faculty”.

Our courses are suitable for young people who believe they have a unique potential and who want to assume responsibility for themselves and for others in modern society. Our historical period has exposed the weaknesses of a system in which the economy is free from basic human needs and has demonstrated the key importance of up skilling professionals who will be able to unite individual and collective responsibility with competence. Leggi di piùHome Faculty Meet the Faculty The Faculty of Psychology can boast a long academic tradition that commenced with the pioneering spirit of the founder of the University Father Agostino Gemelli. With his Psychology Laboratory, inaugurated at the beginning of the last century, he contributed decisively to the progress of this discipline in Italy. The Psychology Laboratory (1924), the Postgraduate Diploma Programme in Occupational Psychology (1955), the Institute of Psychology (1958), the Postgraduate Diploma Programme in Psychology (1964), the Department of Psychology (1983), the degree in Psychology (1993), the Graduate School of Psychology “Agostino Gemelli” (2001) and the Doctoral School in Psychology (2004) are the impressive results of this noble vision. It could be said that our Faculty is the result of the decantation of a very long tradition: an incredible legacy which exemplifies a broad culture based on a multiplicity of disciplines, ranging from medicine to philosophy, which enables the student to question knowledge and progress in their learning. The generative miracle of our Faculty is the extraordinary collaboration between scholars and different disciplines which has resulted in a broad and long-term perspective project of which the students have always been, and still are, the real protagonists. Leggi di piùHome Faculty The Graduate Programmes: a component of excellence The Faculty of Economics places significant importance on its graduate degree programmes and is committed to providing educational excellence. As stated in the syllabus, we have a strong preference for interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary studies with a cultural approach, an aspect that has always been the distinctive feature of the Faculty of Economics at Università Cattolica. Human values represent the founding principle upon which this cultural proposal is built: we see the economy as being “at the service of mankind”. This is the principle that lies at the core of the cultural legacy of our Faculty. As regards the teaching offer, all of this translates into a balance between a strong multidisciplinary basis on the one hand and programmes focusing on the evolution of the social, economic, national and international context on the other. Economics students will gain in-depth knowledge of business, economic, law, mathematics and statistics, combining areas of study and learning methods that will enable them to face, with their own integrated perspective, economic problems relating to institutional and corporate relations, planning and changing management.

The concepts, the history, the values Understanding the society in which we live is crucial for being able to act responsibly and with awareness in every field and to grow into professionals who are able to influence across several contexts. To be able to comprehend the complexities of real-word challenges in a society that is in continuous and rapid change, nowadays, even more so than in the past, it is essential to combine different points of view : from the economic viewpoint to law, politics, psychology, sociology and history. The educational courses within Università Cattolica's Faculty of Political and Social Sciences are founded upon this belief; they all follow a multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary learning approach which becomes, consequently, the Faculty's point of distinction and strength. A method aimed at acquiring the ability to interpret the phenomena and to tackle key problems by merging multiple dimensions, able to foster critical thinking and to give graduates a flexible profile open to the development of new skills in their professional future. Officially, the Faculty is quite young as it was created in 2012 when the faculties of Political Science and Sociology joined forces. Principles Read In order to preserve Università Cattolica’s cultural identity, the Faculty of Political and Social Sciences places the cardinal principles of the common good, dignity of the person, solidarity and subsidiarity at the centre of its research and teaching.
