Programme structure

The Master in International Business offers a branched path.

All admitted students will take part to the MIB Fast Track, a twelve-months, full-time program composed of three teaching periods. It delivers up to 70 ECTS CREDITS and a “1st level Specializing Master's Degree” (level 7 of the European Qualifications Framework - EQF).

The Fast Track offers:

  • Lectures: 12 core courses taking place from Monday to Friday (generally from 10 am to 1 pm and from 2 pm to 5 pm);
  • Conferences: business executives are regular guests, thus ensuring the relevance and practicality of our management education. This activity is spread all over the quarter I, generally taking place on Monday and Tuesday from October to December.
  • Field Work: small group activity, focused on projects designed and coached by partner firms. This activity is spread all over the quarter II, generally taking place on Monday and Tuesday from January to April;
  • Internship which should last at least 300 hours; This activity is spread all over the quarter III from May until the end of the internship project.
  • Final report and presentation: preparation, presentation and discussion of the internship project. Students will be able to access one of three different sessions, which take place on end-September, on mid-January and on mid-July.

In addition to the Fast Track, the Master offers two modular configurations, outlined below:

  • MIB International Track, six-months full-time program delivering an additional 30 ECTS CREDITS (allowing to earn a Master degree from UCSC carrying up to 100 credits);
  • MIB Master Level Track, twelve-months full-time program delivering up to a total of 120 ECTS CREDITS.
